UNLPLUGGED NITE WITH BBQ DINNER
Date : Saturday, March 3, 2001
Time : 18:00 onwards
Venue : Music Patio - DBS (behind tuck shop)
The music that we played on the "Unplugged Nite" were so good
that residence of the Kadoorie Hill ask them to visit us to see if we
allow guests and visitors. By reason of the great response that we
got from the old boys (over 100 attended with their friends and
family) we had to turn them down and promised that we will invite
them next time.
Ramon Lo (64) and his band started the night with great rock and
roll music and Nicky Ng (82) teamed up with his friends and delivered
some unplugged canton pop music. As the night went on
Rahman (71), Sharon Kwok (TV Star), Karen and friends also took
their turns on the stage. Mr Henry Ho, who taught at DBS from
1970-88 also attended the event to the surprise of many old boys.
Mr Ho migrated to Canada and he expects to return to HK soon
to join his son and daughter. Our star runner from 1964, Mr
William Hill was also present at the event. It was not until 11:30
that we ended the night with the Headmaster signing "My Way".
This event was well received and may become a DSOBA tradition.
It rained a bit on the night but the drizzles stopped shortly. Thanks
to our sponsors Arts and Sales Group Limited and EVI Services
Limited who generously donated money and services to support
this event.
