Old Boys Invitational Swimming Relay
15 September, 2003 at Kowloon Park

Rain or shine, with minds over matter our old boys fielded two teams to challenge the much stronger staff and students teams at the Inter-house swimming final at Kowloon Park.

Our A-team, Tony Choi (75), David Liu (75), Russell Yeh (74) and Etienne Ma (74) duplicated their efforts and once again proved how it should be done by a faster time than their winning performance last year. They swam an impressive 2'00.66", almost two seconds off their previous mark even though it was only good enough for a third place on this day. Our second team of Jerry Chang (80), Tsang Yi Ming (93), Philip Chan (94) and Victor Tan (80) gave it their all and had to settle for only a fourth with 2'05.62".

A round of applause goes to everyone taking the time out and making the event possible once again. Special thanks to David Liu from San Francisco for planning the stop in Hong Kong and Philip Chan for his first appearance at our sponsored event. We sincerely hope that this marks the beginning of more active involvement by the '90's crowd.

One can respectfully praise that our old boys still have what it takes to swim a good race and cast a living proof that fitness has not been totally lost with age. But more importantly we wished to send a message to our current boys of the brotherhood bonding, willingness to face challenge and unwavering support of the School that symbolize our belief of the true DBS spirit.
