This year's tournament was fortunate enough to have taken off even though some teams had to pull out due to injury and cancellation. Nonetheless, it featured a strong field including past champions, the Leung Brothers - Leung Sze Wai and Leung Sze Kwan, and first time partnership of Mahmood and ex-HK Davis Cup player Christopher Lai whose semi-final match became the highlight of the tournament. Mahmood and Chris proved to be too much fire-power against the Leungs and eventually went on to win the championship against Selwyn Chan and Victor Tan with a very convincing victory.
