University Day
16 October, 2004 (Saturday)
Jointly organized by
DSOBA & DBS Careers Office
2 October, 2004
Dear fellow old boys of DBS,
If you would like to find out more about overseas university education for your children, please read on and consider coming to our "University Day", with your children if preferred, in the afternoon of 16 October, which is specifically arranged for you.
The "University Day" would start off with talks on general but crucial topics, followed by small group discussions of specific countries, and meetings with representatives from selected universities. Please refer to the attached rundown. We shall invite many of our old boys with a variety of educational background to come and share their first-hand knowledge and personal experience with you. It would be a rare opportunity for you to access useful information of such diverse expertise and experience all in one place.
DSOBA believes that this "University Day", with significant contribution from our school's Headmaster, Careers Office, Student Council, and many other parties, would add value to your children's preparation for university education before they embark on their new course of studying abroad. You are strongly encouraged to:
- block off your diary, fill in the attached registration form, and bring it with you when you come to the "University Day";
- invite your children, if preferred; and
- have your questions ready, be they about admission requirements, costs, on/off campus living, culture, and any of your concerns, when you come to join us on 16 October (Saturday) afternoon.
We look forward to a successful gathering for enthusiastic parents like you to benefit from the genuine sharing with old boys on this important subject.
Yours sincerely,
Victor Tan (80)
Vice-president, DSOBA
