Following on last year's fantastic success with the introduction of the President's Cup, I am pleased to announce this year's DSOBA Tennis Tournaments.

Champions of each tournament will be awarded the respective President's Cup. Their names will be engraved onto these big trophies, and are permanently on display at DBS. The 1st and 2nd runners-up will also be awarded prizes.

Please note the following details:

1. PARTICIPANTS: open to all DSOBA members
2. DATE : 28 Nov. and 5 Dec. 1999 for SINGLES and DOUBLES matches
   (subject to change due to weather and court conditions)
3. TIME : 9:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M.
4. PLACE : DBS Tennis Courts
5. SYSTEM OF PLAY: Depend on no. of entries, basically single knock-out system, otherwise single round robin; for final round best 2 out of 3 sets with tie break at 6 all; all other matches will be played on a 8 games pro-set with tie break at 7 all.
6. RULES : International rules of tennis will govern all matches. Any disputes will be settled by the Sports Club Committee, whose decision will be final.
7. FIXTURES: the Committee will make the draw one week before the tournament. Participant's past record will be considered during placement. The tournament chart will be informed to the participants around 25 Nov. 1999.
8. TROPHIES: PRESIDENT'S CUP to the Champion of each tournament; prizes to the 1st & 2nd runners-up.
9. ENYRY FEE: HK$50:00 per person.
10. DEAD-LINE FOR ENTRY: 21Nov., 1999
